The Iberia R-V School District is implementing a new visitor management system at each main entrance called Hall Pass. Beginning January 2020, any visitor entering to interact with our student(s) during school hours must sign and receive a visitor badge. Visitors will be asked to present their driver's license or other approved ID to capture the name and date of birth and preforms an instant screening for sex offenders against a national database. Once the scan has been approved, a badge will be printed, the visitor will be granted access to enter the building. Then, prior to exiting the building, all visitors must return to the main office, return their visitor badge and sign out with office staff.
We understand that this change may result in some inconveniences for our visitors during school hours. However, the safety of our students and staff is our greatest concern and these measures are being implemented to build upon of safeguards that are already in place.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to make improvements to our schools.
