Workshops are $1295; this includes ALL meals (not lodging)
CAWS is unique in offering dinner and a social hour each night; no per diem is required (except for travel days)
All workshops take place at the Granlibakken Resort which is nestled amongst pine trees at 6250 feet elevation about a mile from the shores of Lake Tahoe, widely considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world
The environment offers a special experience for IB training and many IB Educators treat this as an opportunity for a retreat, sending teams of teachers

IMPORTANT: Please do not purchase your non-refundable airfare until CAWS has sent you a Final Confirmation email. We reserve the right to withdraw any session due to low enrollment.
Cancellation Policy
CAWS will refund the registration fee less $100 or give full credit toward a future CAWS workshop if cancelled before May 15. For cancellations made between May 15 and 5 days before the conference start date there are no refunds but we will issue credit toward a future CAWS workshop. No refunds or credits can be issued for cancellations made within 5 days before the start of the conference.
You are new to the faculty of a longstanding IB World School and have not taught in an IB programme previously.
You are aware of the IB philosophy and programme structure but are not experienced in teaching or administering the IB.
You are familiar with the IB subject guide (including assessment procedures, moderation) and would like greater confidence before teaching a course.
You have inherited a course and would like a review before teaching it to suit your own style and expertise.
You are an experienced IB educator and would like to develop your expertise in delivering an IB programme.
You will make connections between programme frameworks and classroom practice.
You would like to enhance your understanding of assessment in IB programmes.
You will discuss and analyze standards and practices.
You are a highly experienced IB educator and would like to go more deeply into areas you enjoy.
You would like to deepen your understanding and mastery of a particular area or subject.

*Rooms rates for the Granlibakken for three nights with all taxes and fees:

Double Occupancy: $436.11 (must share the room with another participant)

Transportation from Reno-Tahoe International Airport (the Granlibakken is about an hour drive):
North Lake Tahoe Express runs a shuttle from the airport to the Granlibakken or other Tahoe City hotels. The cost is approximately $99 each way.
Uber and Lyft also operate in this area.
If two or more people are arriving together a car rental may be a better option.
The Sacramento Airport is a larger airport with more flight options and is about a (beautiful) two hour drive to the Granlibakken (a car rental would be necessary for this option).
