Local Safety: The event will be held in a region in Nigeria that is free from insurgence or any form of violent attack. Details about local transportation, safe routes, and hours of operation will be made available soon.
Event Conduct: Non-alcoholic drinks are available, Support for any disorderly behavior is available onsite.
Participant Awareness: Attendees are encouraged to use public transport, refill water bottles, and minimize waste.
Resource Conservation: Digital signage will be utilized, and no single-use plastics will be distributed.
Target Audience: Open to participants worldwide, particularly from the HCI community in Africa.
Publicity: Information will be shared via relevant forums, email lists, and social media platforms.
Visa Support: A visa chair is available to assist with visa invitation letters and support letters. Please request invitation letters by 10th January, 2025.
Language Inclusivity: Subtitles and translation services will be available upon request.
Financial Support: Travel grants and tiered registration options are available subject to sponsorship. Details will be made available soon.
Care Support: Childcare services and partial registration options for carers are available upon request.
Inclusive Facilities: The venue includes accessible gender-neutral restrooms and prayer spaces.
Inclusive Communication: All event media and communications use inclusive language and imagery.
Participant Feedback: Attendees will be surveyed about their experiences, with a focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
Hybrid Access: The program will support both in-person and remote participants. High-quality streaming will be provided for remote attendees.
Hybrid Coordination: A hybrid chair ensures seamless integration for virtual and in-person participants.
Asynchronous Participation: Discord/Slack channels will be moderated for ongoing discussions and networking.
