Hello! My name is Makenzie Cunningham and I am thrilled to be apart of the J. Larry Newton Elementary family. I feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to teach second grade and make a lasting impression on the future of our community. This is my seventh year as a teacher. I have taught in Mobile and Lexington, Virginia. In Mobile, I attended University of South Alabama where I received a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.

I love to spend my time away from school with my husband and daughter. We spend a lot of time with family and friends, watching Alabama football (Roll Tide!), and giving back to our community through various outreach programs.
