What is DCON & ICON?
- DCON stands for District CONvention.
The Alabama District Convention, which happends each spring, celebrates a successful year of service and prepares Key Clubbers from over 300 clubs in Alabama with leadership skills and opportunities. At district conventions Key Club members elect new student leaders, learn new service projects, meet other Key Club members and attend interesting workshops.
- ICON stands for International CONvention.
The Key Club International convention is the largest event on the Key Club International Calendar. Key Club members come from across the globe gather annually in July. At international conventions Key Club members elect next year's Key Club International Board, train for leadership positions, learn about service leadership, discover new charitites and organizations, listen to amazing speakers, share innovative service project and fundraising ideas, have fun, and make memories and friendships that last a lifetime!
