Upcoming Performances

🌷 Spring Celebration 🌷

Thursday, May 9th is a special day in downtown Peoria.  Grades K-4 will be performing at the Peoria Courthouse Plaza on the corner of Adams and Main Street at the Monument Stage, which is near the "Soldiers and Sailors Monument."  Below are the performance times for each grade level:

Kindergarten – 11:00 to 11:15

Third Grade – 11:25 to 11:40

Second Grade – 11:50 to 12:05

First Grade – 12:15 to 12:30

Fourth Grade – 12:40 to 1:00

Your child will be arriving at the courthouse by bus.  It is best for audience members to arrive around 15 minutes before their student’s scheduled performance time, as unforeseen circumstances can slightly affect the schedule.  Anyone is welcome to attend, but keep in mind that while there is plenty of standing room, seating is limited.  Additionally, Mr. Geiger plans to record these performances and compile them on a separate website so that they can be enjoyed by viewers at home.

This performance takes place outdoors, so have your student wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather and shoes that are appropriate for standing on risers.  If you would like your student to wear sunblock, please apply it before coming to school.

Students will not be allowed to leave with parents after their performance.  All students will return to school on the bus.  An all call will be placed if plans are changed due to inclement weather.  If you have any questions, please direct them to Mr. Geiger by emailing him at jgeiger@ib327.com.

🎼Fourth Grade!🎶

At the beginning of our recorder unit (way back in January) you were given two recorder packets: one for school and one for home.  You can use your home packet to practice the songs that you will be performing at the concert; I recommend that you work on memorizing in the order that we passed the songs.  Here is a link to all of the background music, in case you want to play along with it: CLICK ME!

You could also try playing along with the recordings that are available in the "Recorder Demonstrations" section under the "Videos" tab at the top of this website: CLICK ME!
