About Me

I am a Doctoral Candidate at Iowa State University, and have been pursuing a PhD in Mathematics since August of 2016. In March of 2018, I was selected to serve as the Lead Teaching Assistant for the Mathematics Department for the 2019-2020 academic year. As Lead TA, I am responsible for scheduling graduate student teaching assignments, and I serve as the Lab Coordinator for our Teaching Lab in 449 Carver Hall. I also served as the President of the Mathematics Graduate Student Organization during the 2018-2019 academic year.

I am an innately curious person who loves to learn and always seeks new knowledge. I love to travel; experiencing new cultures and settings. In my free time, I enjoy reading, theatre, music, playing board games, and bicycling. I am currently a member of a collegiate hand-bell choir. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart (pictured on this page), and we are expecting our first child in December.

I look forward to what adventures life has in store for me and my growing family!
