Daniel McGinnis

I am a 5th year Ph.D. Student in Mathematics at Iowa State University

My advisor is Shira Zerbib.

One of my primary research interests are in discrete and convex geometry, especially concerning problems in geometric transversal theory. More generally, I also work on problems in graph theory and combinatorics, and in particular, topological methods applied to problems in these areas. Another research topic I am actively working in concerns proving Ehrhart positivity of classes of polytopes.

I will be applying to postdoc positions this year (Fall 2023).
