This paper about the rise and creep of sports betting from my English 2500 class demonstrates how I am able to analyze and diagnose complex social issues. I am able to provide a balanced perspective through a variety of sources while proposing solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of this growing industry. This paper also highlights my commitment to fairness, transparency, and the well-being of the less fortunate who may be taken advantage of.

It highlights my attentiveness to the struggles of others as I analyze the emotional and mental health challenges faced by workers in a rapidly changing professional landscape. It also shows my ability to identify complex nuances in interviews and sources, as well as the context in which those sources are presented. Moreover, this essay reveals a commitment to addressing societal problems through intellectual exploration, empathy, and a critical eye—qualities that are essential not only in writing but also in fostering a more connected and considerate world.

The mode of argument highlights my adaptability to different forms of conveying information, and my passions for other areas, like graphic design. The use of statistics also shows my facts & statistics based viewpoint on the world, something incredibly crucial for a field as scientific as electrical engineering.
