SUDAN
Purchase and shipment of a new compressor element and spareparts for repair of a drilling compressor based in Al Geneina, West Darfur. Purchase and shipment of spareparts for drilling rigs and compressors in Port Sudan, Darfur and South Kordofan. This project is supported by International Aid Services.
Project monitoring in Red Sea State on behalf of International Aid Services/Germany.
Construction of bio water filters in collaboration with SMYRNA Church, Gothenburg, Sweden and Sudan Church of Christ, Port Sudan.
Nuba Mountains is a region on the border between South Sudan and Sudan. The local organisation, National Christian Development Organisation, NCDO, has been operating water and education programs here for a good number of years. In March 2021, GRUNDFOS foundation donated funds for rehabilitation of 15 broken boreholes and installation of 4 solar powered mini water yards. The project was implemented through NCDO.
In Dec 2022, project monitoring on behalf of IAS/Denmark was performed in Kauda and Heiban, Nuba Mountains.
SOUTH SUDAN
In cooperation with CAWP – Community Action Water Program, IWDC supports a major drilling project in Eastern Equatoria region in South Sudan. This project includes drilling of deep boreholes and installation of handpumps and solar systems, funded by private donors and the Evangelisches Jugendwerk (EJW) in Stuttgart through IAS Germany.
Construction of a primary school in Naliel, East Kapoeta, Eastern Sudan. Desks for the students are manufactured in Lokichoggio, Kenya. Funds have been received from private donors through IWDC and IAS Germany. Local partner is SLM – Seeking the Lost Mission.
CHAD
In collaboration with Assemblies of God, Chad, and IAS America and IAS Chad, IWDC supported drilling of 10 boreholes. IWDC has also purchased solarpanels, submersible pumps and control units for 25 solar installations in N’djamena, Dourbali, Ouddai and Guera.
IWDC also arranged for funds for drilling of 4 boreholes in Guera region.
NIGER
IWDC supplied a heavy duty truck, Renault TRM 1000, to IAS Water program in Niger.
