to the International Academy of Pathology (IAP)

The IAP is dedicated to the advancement of Pathology through educational exchanges worldwide. Collectively, we provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of advances in the understanding of pathologic processes and for the presentation and critical evaluation of scientific, technological and methodological advances. Our goal, and a fundamental role of the IAP, is to provide access to the vast store of valid, currently authenticated and trusted knowledge for questioning minds.

Nominations for New Officers of the IAP

 Proposed nominations must be submitted for consideration by the Nominating Committee by Saturday, August 31st 2023.

Registration for IAP2024 is now open!

The 35th International Congress of the IAP is being held in Cancun, October 27th to 31st 2024.   

Hosted by the Mexican Division, this is an excellent opportunity for pathologists to exchange knowledge, experiences and the latest developments in the field with experts from all around the world.

Early Registration Deadline: July 9th.  Additional discounts are available to members of Divisions worldwide.


The June 5th Abstract Submission Deadline has passed, but you still have time to apply for a Bursary. 

Successful applicants will receive a bursary award covering registration, and assistance for airfare and accommodation.   

You must, however, be planning to be attend as an abstract presenter at the Congress, and have already submitted your abstract for review prior to applying for a bursary.

The deadline is June 12th.

Funding for Educational Events and Ambassadors

Funding is available to support Division and Assembly educational events in under-served regions of the world, and for IAP Ambassadors.  The IAP Ambassador program is especially designed to provide funding for those who have been invited to these areas in order to provide pathology educational presentations and other services.   Interested?   Apply through our new online application.
