In partnership with POSB 2027, APH is pleased to add an A to STEAM and offer a full-day, hands-on, post-institute Music Braille workshop on March 11, 2027. We hope you will join us!
The evening of March 7 will be an informal gathering. Presentations and exhibitors will begin on March 8, 2027.
Session strands will include math, science, technology, and computer science.
There will also be a tour at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind (SCSDB), Spartanburg, SC
Registration will be opening up in later November and will be free thanks to our generous donors.
Please RSVP. This is so we know if any special accommodations are needed. It also helps us guestimate how many and what size rooms and how many snacks and lunches we need.
The Presentation and Vendor Submission Form is NOW OPEN. Submissions must be received no later than October 30, 2026. The Conference Committee will only consider fully completed forms. Decisions on selected presentations and exhibitors will be announced by November 16, 2026.
To build community and a support system among teachers of the visually impaired. Often, teachers feel isolated and don’t have easy access to other teachers for guidance and support.
To provide professional development opportunities. The “POSB Institutes for Instruction” would include a training component, focusing on STEM to inspire teachers and provide them with tools to improve their instructional practices.
To establish online communities for individual disciplines in order to provide ease in communication and to share documents and other materials related to instruction.
