EMD group at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus primary focuses on the development of emerging flexible nanoelectronic devices and their applications in Broadband Photodetector, Smart Sensors, Smart Personal Healthcare Monitoring, Resistive Memories (Memristors), Transient electronics, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Sensing, Field Effect Transistors etc.
OVERVIEW OF RESEARCH
Following are the research activities of the EMD Group
Growth of 2D materials (using both Solution Processed and Chemical Vapor Deposition Techniques)
Developing Broadband Photodetector with proper Bandgap and Contact Engineering
Development of Smart, low-cost wearable sensors for Personal Healthcare Monitoring, Consumer Electronics etc.
Development of Flexible Resistive Memories (Memristors) and understanding the transport phenomena
Development of data driven model for electronic devices using regression and neural networks
Development of Water Soluble Electronics
Development of highly selective VOC Sensors for diagnostic application
Finally, exploring emerging 2D materials and understanding their electronic properties to be utilized for above applications.
