The combat robotics team of the institute designs and develops battlebots and participates in reputed compettitions across the country. The team has not only won accolades in institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, BITS Goa, etc. but also is dedicated towards innovation in design and development.
The Mars-Rover design team is working on the design and development of a rover for undulated terrain like mars. The team is working on Mechanical Design, Vision and Perception, Control, Embedded Systems and Software of the autonomous robot for efficient motion and task execution in an obstacle rich environment.
Bicopter Project
This work is aimed at the design and development of a tilt-rotor bicopter drone alongwith the design and implementation of control law for the same.
Snake Robot
This work involves the path-planning and control of planar snake robots as well as hardware implementation of the algorithm for real-world validation.
Spherical Bot
This projects explores the design, development and control of reconfigurable spherical robots multi-terrain motion and applications like sensing and surveillance.
LeARN
The aim of this project is to develop methods to learn the nonlinear dynamics of unknown wind conditions on a quadcopter drone using sensor data and use the same for control design.
