Welcome back! I am so happy to be your math teacher this year. This is my 16th year teaching 8th grade math at WMS (and my 21st year as an educator). I know it's hard to believe, but math is all around us. This year I hope to show you how it can relate to your everyday life and also how learning math can improve your problem solving skills and critical thinking. We will focus on many types of mathematical equations and how they relate to topics in geometry.
Greetings, Team 81! I am excited to begin my 22nd year of teaching, and my 12th here at WMS. Though surrounded at every turn by technology, you will find me to be a devotee of all things paper--the feel of a quality pen moving across paper, books in print, and the permanence of language that you can shuffle, flip, and crumple. I look forward to blending the new with the old and to learning from you as you learn from me.
¡Hola a todos!
I can't wait to meet you! I have taught all grades and levels of Spanish in lots of places around the globe and have found my home here at WMS. Learning Spanish will help you communicate with others, give you new perspectives on the world AND make you smarter.
¡Sí, tú puedes!
Hello Team 8-2! I am so happy to be back and I am excited to get to know everyone! I have been teaching at WMS for 23 years. In Social Studies, this year, we will be studying Civics. We will begin the year by discussing the role of government, why governments exist, and where the concept of individual rights came from. We will also look at Supreme Court Cases, efforts by the people to change government policies, and so much more!
