Our technology expectations are designed to help students develop not only digital skills, but also the habits and behaviors that support success in school and beyond. By practicing safe and responsible use of technology, staying focused on tasks, and treating others with courtesy and respect, students learn how to collaborate effectively, complete quality work, and make good choices online. These expectations create a positive learning environment where children can grow as both confident learners and responsible digital citizens.

Recognizes the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of living, learning and working in an interconnected digital world and can act and model in ways that are safe, legal, and ethical.
Communicates clearly and expresses themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats, and digital media appropriate to their goals.
Is a productive participant, effectively and actively engages in discussions, lesson activities, individual and group work.
Consistently respects classroom rules, directions, and routines while cooperating with teacher(s) and peers.
4 (E) Exceeds Expectations:
The student demonstrates exceptional performance beyond the expected standard. When applicable, the student demonstrates a deep understanding of the content, applies critical thinking skills, and consistently exceeds expectations. Performance is characterized by self-motivation and ability to apply these skills with consistent accuracy, independence, and high levels of complexity and quality beyond grade level expectations.
2 (A) Approaching Expectations:
The student is making inconsistent progress toward meeting grade level standards. Performance varies in accuracy and quality. There are areas where improvement is needed and the student requires guidance to further develop and reach the expected level of proficiency.
3 (M) Meets Expectations:
The student has met the standard and demonstrates proficiency in the assessed areas. The student has successfully achieved the expected level of performance and can apply knowledge and skills effectively. Performance is characterized by the ability to apply these skills with consistent accuracy, independence, and quality expected at grade level.
1 (NS) Needs Support:
The student demonstrates minimal understanding of basic concepts and skills expected at grade level. Performance is characterized by attempts to try new skills with partial success but is inconsistent, even with support and guidance. Interventions may be required.
