For almost twenty years, Heron Way has been a proud member of the Artsmark community, achieving Artsmark Gold. Our most recent application included our Statement of Commitment, submitted two years ago, and we are currently finalizing our Statement of Impact to demonstrate our ongoing dedication to arts, culture, and community in education.
In addition, we provide Arts Award (Discover and Explore) to encourage children to develop their arts and leadership skills, which they can carry forward into their secondary education and aim for Bronze, Gold, and Silver awards.
At Heron Way, many of our activities are centered around the arts. Alongside excelling in reading, writing, science, maths and coding - we also aim for our children to explore dance, painting, sculpture, acting and more.Â
The children took part in a local parade - working with artists from the community. For a number for a number of weeks the children created sculpture which they then exhibited in a musical parade around the streets of Horsham
