ELIGIBILITY FOR A FREE SCHOOL MEAL?

Regardless of whether your child is in Reception, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 you may be eligible for a free school meal. It is really important to the school that those families who are in receipt of certain benefits make an application through the county council website.

Registering for free meals could raise extra funding for your child’s school to fund valuable support like extra tuition or additional teaching staff.  This additional money is available from central government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the welfare benefits listed on the website. It is therefore important to sign up for free school meals, even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, so that the school receives as much funding as possible
