We are pleased to work with FEED West Sussex (Feeding Excellence Every Day), provided by ISS, for our school meals.
FEED aims to provide nutritious, enjoyable meals that support children’s health, wellbeing and learning. Menus are developed by experienced chefs working alongside qualified nutritionists and are refreshed throughout the year to provide children with a varied and seasonal choice.
School meals are ordered through the FEED app, which is supported by Kanpla.
Through the app, parents and carers can:
view the school menu;
pre-order meals;
select favourite meals;
view allergen and dietary information; and
manage their child’s meal choices.
Parents and carers will receive an invitation to register for the FEED app. If you have not received your registration information or are experiencing difficulties accessing your account, please contact the school office.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal through Universal Infant Free School Meals. Other children may also be eligible for free school meals depending on their family circumstances.
FEED provides support for children with medically diagnosed dietary requirements, including food allergies, intolerances, coeliac disease and other medical conditions.
Parents and carers must register their child’s medical dietary requirements through the FEED app. Once registered, the system will help identify suitable meal choices and, where necessary, FEED can provide a bespoke menu.
It is important that parents and carers keep all dietary and allergen information held within the app up to date.

ELIGIBILITY FOR A FREE SCHOOL MEAL?
Regardless of whether your child is in Reception, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 you may be eligible for a free school meal. It is really important to the school that those families who are in receipt of certain benefits make an application through the county council website.
Registering for free meals could raise extra funding for your child’s school to fund valuable support like extra tuition or additional teaching staff. This additional money is available from central government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the welfare benefits listed on the website. It is therefore important to sign up for free school meals, even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, so that the school receives as much funding as possible.
