The Yang-Krall kids started learning Mandarin at HWIS in 2021. They are rising 1st and 3rd graders. We love the village community of families and educators here. As a HWISPA volunteer, I treasure the opportunities to serve our community directly and become friends with so many wonderful families along the way.

VP, Head of Elementary Community: Carter Bassett

My family and I have been at HWIS for six years. We have four children in the Spanish track in (upcoming) PK3’s, Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grade. My favorite part about HWIS are the cultural shows. Both the Spanish Winter show and Chinese NY show are a fun way to celebrate each culture and see the kids thrive and perform (and often dance) in their immersive language.
