Raise awareness of Health and Safety issues.
Complete design and make projects within the context of a specific field (textiles, product design and engineering design).
Knowledge and Skills
Learners will develop the ability to...
carry out purposeful research and use it to help develop a solution to the problem. (Mood board, Similar product, Specific field information e.g. Motion, Cams.)
use communication methods to develop design ideas to form creative solutions. (Shading, isometric drawing, using 2D Design)
consider the user's requirements when designing
design using Iteris design methods (think, test, reflect)
know and recall an increasing number of special tools and techniques, to combine components, materials and processes and learn how to use them safely.
Experiences
Attend the technology club run by the Yr12 Technology Committee.
How can I help during this journey?
Encourage your child to be an open learner who's willing to persevere.
