Year 9 marks the transition from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 for each student.

At KS4 students study an examined statutory Core Curriculum of Mathematics, English, Science, Welsh and Philosophy.

The Options Curriculum makes up 32% of each student's timetable.

The Core and Option curricula are externally examined throughout the key stage, terminating with a GCSE or equivalent graded outcome for each learner.
