The Bro Gwaun cluster have prioritised oracy since 2023-24, with Tim Bercury, YBG, working with primary colleagues and pupils in all partner schools, as well as leading on oracy PL in YBG. Below are resources that describe their plan, which is supplemented with half-termly newsletters and sessions led with staff and pupils.

5 Strategies to support talk in the classroom
Chris Shaw from Bryn Tawe presented at the Partneriaeth Literacy conference 2023. His presentation is alongside and the recording of his session is in the Team here.
He describes how a combination of Voice 21, Alex Quigley and Doug Lemov strategies are developing oracy across the school, and includes a range of practical and useful approaches and resources.
