WE'VE REACHED OUR TARGET!

Thank you to everyone for your support, kindness and outstanding efforts – pupils, parents and staff alike. We have succeeded in reaching our financial target towards Eisteddfod yr Urdd Ynys Môn 2026.

The response has been truly inspiring and is a testament to the strength of our school community. This would not have been possible without your support.

SWIMMING LESSONS

Year 2 pupils are now receiving swimming lessons and are thoroughly enjoying them. We kindly ask everyone to pay for the bus via SchoolGateway.

Liverpool

Year 6 pupils enjoyed a special three-day trip to Liverpool, full of fun and memorable experiences. The visit began with a cruise on the River Mersey and a trip to the Museum of Liverpool, before enjoying Quirky Quarters and its entertaining optical illusions. In the evening, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner and a visit to the cinema to watch Super Mario. The second day was just as busy, with visits to The Beatles Story, an educational coach tour around the city, the World Museum, and a highly competitive bowling session at Lane 7. The trip ended with a fascinating tour of Anfield Stadium. We would like to thank Mrs Manon Jones and the staff for organising and supporting the trip, and especially the children for their excellent behaviour throughout the visit.

TRANSITION

Teachers from Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni have been working with Year 6 pupils as part of the transition activities. This work will continue over the coming period to prepare pupils for September.

FOOTBALL

A Year 3 and 4 boys’ team competed in the football tournament at Plas Arthur. Thank you to Mr Jones and Miss Bennett for supporting the team.

The Year 5 & 6 girls team played a friendly football match against the Year 5 & 6 girls at Ysgol Gymraeg Morswyn. Thank you to Mr Gwilym and Mrs McGilvary for supporting the team.

OPEN THE BOOK

It was lovely to welcome our friends from Open the Book who came to lead a service with both units: Graig Fach and Graig Fawr. The children from Cybi and Edwen classes helped us listen to and share the story of Zacchaeus.

PC TAMZIN

PC Tamzin recently visited Graig Fach pupils to discuss and highlight “people who can help us.” The presentation was valuable and informative, and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the session.

DANGER POINT

Year 5 pupils travelled to Talacre, Flintshire, to visit Pentre Peryglon. This unique experience offered a valuable opportunity to learn about safety in a fun and interactive way. The centre is designed like a film set, where pupils travelled through a variety of locations such as the home, the beach, the countryside and a farm, learning about different risks, how to stay safe in everyday situations, and most importantly, enjoying the experience while learning.
