Huge congratulations to the Nyth class and Mrs Moore. The pupils came first in the whole of Wales with their Art work! They were presented with a Gold medal at the Eisteddfod on the first Saturday.
We were extremely proud of the performances of our pupils who competed in the Theatrical Presentation and the Choir competitions. Heartfelt thanks to Mrs Catrin Jones Hughes for training the Theatrical Presentation group, and to Mrs Grês Pritchard for training the choir. It was also wonderful to see Gruffudd Siôn competing in the Folk Song and Piano solo competitions.
We greatly appreciate all the time, dedication and energy that have ensured so many of our pupils had the opportunity to compete.
Many thanks to Mr Pritchard for his continued support, and to the parents for their encouragement throughout the Eisteddfod journey. These experiences are incredibly valuable and memorable for the children.
Thank you to Mrs Manon Jones for arranging for a group of pupils from the school to take part in the Stwnsh Sadwrn series, which was filmed at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Anglesey. It was a very fun and exciting experience for them!
It was lovely to welcome our ‘Open the Book’ friends to lead a service with both units, Graig Fach and Graig Fawr. We listened to the story of Peter, with the help of pupils from Cwyfan and Pedr classes and Edwen class.
Graig Fawr enjoyed a wonderful day at Chester Zoo. The weather was perfect and many of the animals were out and about, making the experience especially memorable for everyone. The pupils had a day full of fun, learning and new experiences. Many thanks to everyone who organised the visit and to the staff for ensuring such a successful and memorable day.
