There was great excitement in school this week as our Year 6 pupils delivered their speeches for the roles of House Captains and Vice-Captains for the 2026-2027 academic year. Everyone who applied demonstrated confidence, maturity and commitment as they shared their ideas with their fellow pupils.
Following the speeches, all members of the houses were given the opportunity to cast their votes. It was wonderful to see our pupils taking part in the democratic process and making their choices thoughtfully. We would like to congratulate all the candidates for their courage and efforts, and we look forward to working with our new House Captains and Vice-Captains as they take on their responsibilities over the coming year.

A group of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils recently competed in a football tournament organised by the Urdd at Plas Arthur, Llangefni. Congratulations to the team on their excellent performance and exemplary behaviour throughout the day. They were extremely unfortunate to narrowly miss out on a place in the final.
Congratulations to Ysgol Corn Hir, the tournament winners.
A sincere thank you to Mr Jones and Mr Frazer for their coaching and support, and to Mrs Redvers Jones for driving the minibus.
We were delighted to welcome PC Tamzin to the school recently to deliver a series of engaging and educational workshops for our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils. The children had a valuable opportunity to learn about the importance of staying safe, making sensible choices, and understanding the role of the police within the community. Pupils listened attentively and participated enthusiastically in the activities and discussions. We would like to thank her for her time and continued support of our school.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the parents who were able to attend our recent Parents’ Evening. It provided a valuable opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and discuss how well your child has settled into their new class. We greatly appreciate your continued support and are grateful for the strong partnership between home and school, which plays such an important role in helping our pupils thrive.
To help reduce the spread of infections and protect the health and wellbeing of our school community, we kindly ask parents and carers not to send their child to school if they are vomiting or suffering from diarrhoea.
In line with Public Health Wales guidance, children should remain at home for at least 48 hours after their last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea before returning to school.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us keep our school a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for everyone.
