Attendance Award 2024-2025
We’re delighted to announce that Year 5M has won the Attendance Award for 2025–26 with a staggering whole class attendance reaching 96.7%! Their fantastic dedication, commitment to showing up each day, and team spirit truly set a shining example for the whole school. Well done to every pupil (and their families!) for making every moment count, we’re so proud of your achievement! Keep up the excellent effort, 5M! Their reward was a morning of fun and games with Newport Live and a tip-top treat. Here are some pictures for you to see.
STEM - Green Powered Kit Car
We would like to extend our thanks to Mr Allan Hyland for his incredible support and guidance in helping our pupils build and race our STEM green-powered kit car. His expertise, enthusiasm and encouragement were instrumental throughout the entire process, from the first bolt tightened to the thrilling time trials on race day!
Our pupils gained invaluable hands-on experience in science, technology and teamwork, and their excitement and sense of achievement were clear to see. Thanks to Mr Hyland’s commitment, our young engineers were inspired to think big, work smart and dream green.
We are so grateful for this unforgettable opportunity!
Year 6 Leavers 'The Oscars'
To our brilliant Year 6 pupils,
As you begin the next chapter of your educational journey, we want to wish you all the very best for your transition to secondary school. You’ve grown into confident, kind and curious young people, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved.
Your Leavers’ ‘The Oscars’ ceremony was absolutely fabulous, from the glitz and glamour to the laughter and heartfelt moments, you lit up the stage! Your speeches were truly exceptional: funny, moving and full of personality, showing just how ready you are to shine in the world beyond Mount Pleasant.
Thank you for the memories, the energy and the joy you’ve brought to our school. Go forward with courage, kindness and that signature sparkle we know so well. Good luck, Year 6, you’ve got this!
Warmest wishes, from Miss Rutledge and the MPPS Family
