Nursery Orchard
As part of outdoor learning this week Year 2 have worked with Morris' of Usk to plant an orchard for our Nursery pupils. We applied to The Tree Council and took part in their Orchards for Schools scheme. We received fruit trees and hedgerows to plant in the school grounds. Year 2 have planted, cherry, apple and pear trees. Nursery have already been very busy making bird feeders to encourage the birds. Huge thanks to Morris' of Usk for their help.
Year 6 Visit to Bassaleg - Gym and Dance Display
On Wednesday, our Year 6 pupils were invited to Bassaleg School to watch the annual Gym and Dance Display. This was the first part of Transition for the pupils and what a first impression they had!
It was lovely to see so many familiar MPPS faces, demonstrating their talents and showing our current Year 6 pupils what to expect. A thoroughly enjoyable day for all!
Eisteddfod Prosiect Cartref / Home Eisteddfod Project
The whole school Eisteddfod project is to make a 'Welsh' peg doll. You might want to transform the peg into a famous Welsh person, or maybe they'd rather transform it into a daffodil, leek or sheep. We're looking for imagination and creativity! Your child will be bringing home a Welsh peg doll with a small white label this week. Remember to write your child's name and class on one side of the label, and who or what they have transformed the peg into on the other side. Good luck everyone! Please return your peg creation by Monday 3rd March 2025. Diolch!

The whole school has taken part in Internet Safety Day this week. Our Y4 pupils have been creating presentations to quiz you on your internet safety knowledge. They were able to create an interactive slide presentation to teach you how to be safe online. Thank you Ayla and Matilda for such a wonderful presentation. Click on the link below;
