Good Bye and Good Luck Mrs Williams
Huge thanks to Mrs Williams, our wonderful caretaker. Mrs Williams will be leaving us today to take on exciting new challenges. During her time at Mount Pleasant Mrs Williams has greeted us all with a smile. She has worked tirelessly keeping our grounds and school building in tiptop condition, always making sure the school is left in a sparkling state! Thank you for your hard work and commitment to Mount Pleasant. You will surely be missed, especially your sunny disposition. We will miss you Mrs Williams!
Year 6 Residential Trip to Gilwern
A big thank you to Miss Jenkins, Ms Witchard, Miss McCarthy and Miss Durston for taking the Y6 pupils to Gilwern. Huge thanks to the Gilwern staff too. The pupils have had so much fun with all the activities and have become very independent. They've accessed a range of outdoor and environmental experiences and activities of increasing challenge, they've had to work as a team and problem solve along the way. I'm sure they'll be helping with the hoovering and washing up over the Easter Break too!
Easter Parade and Raffle update
Well done to all of our pupils who made an Easter Bonnet/Headgear. Our Easter Parade was so colourful and so much fun. We have very creative pupils. The PTA raffle took place after the event, lots of our pupils have gone home with fabulous prizes. The PTA will be in contact with winners who are yet to receive their prize in the coming days.
Blwyddyn 5
Year 5 had an out of this world experience this week when they were visited by Dr Mark Lewney, also known as "The Rock Doctor" Dr Lewney, a real-life scientist and electric guitar-playing physicist, took the class on an exciting journey through space and sound.
With the help of his electric guitar, he demonstrated how sound waves work, explained amazing facts about space, and even made science rock! The children were fascinated by all the incredible knowledge that was shared, and they asked some brilliant questions throughout the session.
Dr Lewney was so impressed, he told Miss Medhurst that Year 5 was full of very bright sparks—and we couldn’t agree more! The class were curious, thoughtful, and full of energy, making the most of this exciting opportunity to learn from a real expert.
A huge thank you to Dr Lewney for inspiring the next generation of scientists, musicians, and thinkers!

Brawddegau Bendigedig Bryn Hyfryd
This month's brawddeg bendigedig is ...
Ble rwyt ti'n mynd dros y gwyliau Pasg?
Where are you going over the Easter holidays?
You can answer by saying...
Dwi'n mynd i...
I'm going to....
Take a look at Blwyddyn 5's video on Class Dojo to show you how you can ask the question and answer it in a variety of ways.
I wonder how many pupils can teach their parents our Brawddegau Bendigedig!
