This Week's learning:
During Forest School, our Year 5 and 6 pupils worked collaboratively with Reception to create clay tree faces. Working together, the children used clay and a range of natural materials they found in the woodland to bring their imaginative characters to life. It was a lovely opportunity for pupils of different ages to share ideas, be creative and learn together outdoors.
This Term's Learning:
In RVE, we have been exploring the theme of Difference and thinking about what makes each person unique. Pupils reflected on the question “What makes you who you are?” and considered the people, experiences and qualities that shape their identity. We also explored what it means to feel cherished, sharing the people, places and things that help us feel valued and cared for.
As part of our Finding Home topic, pupils explored what makes each of us unique and how our identities shape our sense of belonging. We created identity portraits combining self-portraits with images, words and symbols that represent the people, places, interests and experiences that are important to us.
