Dosbarth Catwg has settled well into their new classroom.
Dosbarth Catwg enjoyed supporting this important charity dressing up in Pudsey clothing/own clothes. We enjoyed making bilingual Welsh/English posters. We brought in our teddies too!
Take a look at some of the colourful bilingual posters that Dosbarth Catwg made to promote BBC Children in Need 2025.
This week we celebrated Remembrance Day with our annual Cuppa and Cake event. We welcomed our families, members of the local community and Blaina Royal British Legion to share in this very important event. Learners from Year 4, 5 and 6 dressed up as evacuees to sing traditional war time songs. Year 6 were fantastic hosts serving tea, coffee and cake to everyone. Diolch yn fawr to everyone who supported us again this year.
We were delighted to welcome learners and staff from Christchurch CiW Primary School in Swansea to Llangattock this week. It has been a long awaited visit - we first visited their school in Swansea in July 2024.
We visited St. Catwgs Church to learn about the history of the church and participate in wonderful activities together.
All learners enjoyed playing together on our superb school grounds at lunch time.
We even took our guests on a walk to the canal - we had an amazing time despite the very wet Welsh weather!
Thank you to Christchurch for visiting us. We look forward to strengthening our links with you.
Dosbarth Catwg was amazing today at their Peace Mala celebration service at St. Catwg's Church. We shared a very important message of peace and friendship.
We celebrated all the spiritual paths of the Peace Mala rainbow bracelet and shared their messages of peace.

We had a wonderful treat at the end of half term - a bright pink Isuzu Truck and a rather excitable unicorn. Diolch to David Taylor Garages for supporting such an important charity. The children were impressed!
We enjoyed celebrating Shwmae Day this week.

We wore red in support of Show Racism the Red Card and designed posters to promote this important campaign.
Today, we all wore yellow in support of World Mental Health Day to remind us of the importance of good mental health.
In Literacy, we have been using the Adobe AI Generator to help us make our character and setting descriptions as detailed as possible.
We have been enjoying working independently, completing our 'missions' and choosing how to display our work.
We created anti-bullying logos and posters to spread the message of kindness to all.
We had a great time learning and showcasing our circus skills with the volunteers who came to help us.
We enjoyed using the TASC wheel to prepare our stalls for the Christmas Fayre.
We made salt dough Christmas tree decorations and painted and decorated them to sell at the Fayre.
We have been busy asking and answering the Welsh question - Beth hoffet ti gael gan Sion Corn? What would you like Santa to bring?
