📚 What’s in Store?

These are launch sessions, designed for you to watch and interact with at the start of a lesson before moving on to carry out activities as a class. 

Differentiated worksheets are also available to use following the sessions.

🥼The project is an opportunity to:

• spark your learners’ interest in Science and Technology.

• develop your own practice as a teacher within the Science and Technology Area of Learning and 

Experience.

🦸What will the sessions consist of?

Sparci the dog wants to be a superhero and needs a new cape! Join Mel, Rhi, Ffion and Sioned to experiment with different materials to decide which one is the most suitable for Sparci’s cape!

ⓘ Session Details

The sessions were released daily during British Science Week (9th–13th March 2026). They are now readily available when you register.

• Sessions are delivered via YouTube.

• Session 1 (15–20 minutes): Sets the scene and introduces the challenge.

• Sessions 2–5 (5–10 minutes): Short starter-style sessions designed to spark curiosity and kick‑start the rest of your lesson.

• Content is designed for Progression Step 2, but all classes are welcome, and differentiated materials will be provided.
