Quizzing sites/apps

Plickers - is a powerfully simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data without the need for student devices.

Socrative - is a cloud-based student response system. It allows teachers to create simple quizzes that students can take quickly on laptops – or, more often, via classroom tablet computers or their own smartphones.

Kahoot - is a tool for using technology to administer quizzes, discussions or surveys. It is a game based classroom response system played by the whole class in real time.

Quizizz - allows you to conduct student-paced formative assessments in a fun and engaging way for students of all ages

Thinglink - is a free and user friendly digital tool that provides users with the ability to turn any image into an interactive graphic.

Canva - is a tool that makes it possible to design anything and publish anywhere. With Canva, you can easily create beautiful documents & designs for any occasion and purpose.

Adobe Spark Video - Adobe Spark Video is a free online video making software. Easily create beautiful slideshows, presentations, ads, and stories using your own photos, videos.

Shadow Puppet Edu - is a utility app which allows students and teachers to make engaging presentations and slideshows out of photos, videos, sound clips and voice overs. ... They can choose pictures from their camera roll, photo stream or albums, or from educational resources

Microsoft Sway - is a presentation program and is part of the Microsoft Office family of products. Sway was offered for general release by Microsoft in August 2015. It allows users who have a Microsoft account to combine text and media to create a presentable website.

iMovie - is a video editing software application sold by Apple Inc. for the Mac and iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iPod Touch).

Keynote - is a presentation software application developed as a part of the iWork productivity suite by Apple Inc.

Prezi - the presentation software that uses motion, zoom, and spatial relationships to bring your ideas to life and make you a great presenter.

Office lens - is the new camera for iPad or iPhone that lets you take pictures of whiteboards or printed documents, then enhances your photo by cropping, sharpening, and straightening it, so it looks almost like a scanned image.

Google translate - is a free multilingual machine translation service developed by Google, to translate text. ... Rather than translating languages directly, it first translates text to English and then to the target language.

Google Earth - is a computer program that renders a 3D representation of Earth based on satellite imagery. The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles.

Text Grabber - easily and quickly scans, translates and saves your chosen text or QR-codes from virtually any printed material.

QR Reader - QR is short for Quick Response (they can be read quickly by a cell phone). They are used to take a piece of information from a transitory media and put it in to your phone.

There are so many QR apps. IMPORTANT: The current iOS update has a QR reader built into the iPhone/iPad's camera app.

Scratch - is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world. As children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively, and reason systematically.

Cargo Bots - is a coding and programming app that will be a challenge at all levels. Cargo-Bot is a puzzle game where you teach a robot how to move crates.

Code.org - is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities.

Code Academy - is an online freemium interactive platform that offers free coding classes in 12 different programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript (jQuery, AngularJS, React.js), Ruby, SQL, and Sass, as well as markup languages HTML and CSS.

Micro Bit - a pocket-sized computer 70 times smaller and 18 times faster than the original BBC Micro computers used in schools. Survey and questionnaires - Ideal for pupil voice

Both apps allow teachers and students to quickly and easily create custom quizzes, surveys, questionnaires and more. When you create a form, you can invite others to respond to it using any web browser, even on mobile devices.
