Our Mission
Our Aramark mission at Bassaleg School is to use locally sourced ingredients to produce freshly prepared food that is varied, contemporary and nutritionally balanced, expanding our students’ food experiences and encouraging them to make healthy choices, now and in the future.
Aramark offer a wide choice of hot and cold items, which will allow your child an excellent choice of meals from a nutritionally analysed menu, sourced using local suppliers. Menus will include a range of main meal options, vegetarian choices, pasta dishes, jacket potatoes, salads and a wide choice of freshly prepared sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and fruit pots.
All Menus are created in line with The Welsh Food Standards guidelines.
The cost of purchasing a hot main meal deal at lunch is £2.60 per day, which includes a dessert and a bottle of water. We also offer a sandwich meal deal also priced at £2.60

We are using a Biometric system (fingerprint) to ensure that the process of food and drink purchase in the restaurant by your child is effective, quick and avoids any issues of forgotten numbers and the anxiety that this might cause. Any queries can go to bassaleg.finance@newportschools.wales. All learners will also have a 4-digit PIN given to them which can be used on the keypad at the tills. We will generate and supply these PINs with the computer information in September
