About Me

Mr. Coraci

Mr Coraci

Welcome!

This is my 27th year teaching in the Huron Valley School District. Over the years I have made many friends and have had many great experiences. I have been coaching volleyball, basketball and/or softball/ nearly every year that I've been a part of this wonderful community. This is my 3rd Middle School. I started my career at Highland Middle School ( after a few years of teaching math at a private high school) in 1995. I moved to Oak Valley Middle after Highland closed in 2011 and when there was a need for an experienced teacher here at Muir, I followed the call. I am excited, now, to be part of team 702; teaching a subject that I really love.

I have 6 kids, 5 of whom went through Milford. My youngest is a freshman there now. It is a great feeling to continue to prepare students for life as I have my own kids, by teaching them about there place in this world both geographically and historically. I focus on not only a presentation of facts but also how to be critical thinkers and civic participants.

I have a Bachelors in the Arts in Education from Wayne State University and two Master degrees: Educational Leadership from Wayne and Curriculum and Instruction from Oakland University. I was a regional finalist for Michigan Teacher of the Year in 2006 and Huron Valley's Teacher of the year 2007. In my 24 years in Huron Valley I have taught Science, Math, Social Studies and Computers.
