Mean, Median & Mode are measures of central tendency and fall under the descriptive statistics category.
Mean: The most common type of average. It is defined as the sum of all of the values divided by the number of values in a group.
Median: Is also the average, but of a very different kind. It is defined at the midpoint in a set of scores.
Mode: The value that occurs most frequently. This is the least precise measure of central tendency.
