Welcome to the home page of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District's Climate Action Committee. Thank you for taking this opportunity to learn more about our work. Check back frequently for updates!
On the afternoon of October 12, members of the HVRSD Climate Action Committee convened at The Watershed Institute for a day of learning about climate-friendly cafeterias, sustainable transportation, and green infrastructure. This event was made possible through the Climate Literacy for Community Resilience grant from the New Jersey Department of Education. HVRSD is in its second year of funding through this program.
Climate Action Retreat sessions were led by Véronique Lambert, Program Manager for Sustainable Jersey for Schools and Dr. Steven Tuorto, Director of Science & Stewardship at The Watershed Institute. The Climate Action Committee, which includes students, parents, Hopewell Valley staff and school board members, established goals for the upcoming school year.
