The HVCHS Unified Club, which has been in existence for the past several years, consists of approximately 50 members, with a relatively equal number of students with and without disabilities. The club is led by co-presidents (one student with a disability and one student without a disability), and co-vice presidents (one student with a disability and one student without a disability). Providing leadership opportunities in which students with and without disabilities collaborate to fulfill the duties of a specific position helps to facilitate cooperation, understanding, and inclusivity. Club meetings are held during lunch on a monthly basis, during which time activities and events are planned. The club also hosts a monthly Unified Hour in conjunction with different school athletic teams and clubs. The 2022-23 Unified Hour activities have included making gingerbread houses, practicing with the Girls Varsity Basketball team, making and donating blankets for a local non-profit organization, practicing with the Varsity Cheerleading team, and playing in a kickball game. In addition, the Unified Club hosts evening activities, such as visiting a local corn maze, attending the school play, or watching movies in the Media Center. The Unified Club's connections with the other clubs and teams at the school are extensive.
