Coaching Staff

Coach McGinley is entering his 22nd season as Head Coach. Coach McGinley became Head Coach in 2003.  He began coaching Girls' Soccer at Hopewell in 1998 as the Head JV Coach and served as the Varsity assistant for 3 seasons before becoming the Head Coach.  Coach McGinley is also a Social Studies Teacher. He was also a longtime Freshman Boys Basketball Coach at Hopewell Valley Central High School. Coach McGinley also served as Head Girls Basketball coach, as well as Interim Athletic Director.

Coach Nucera began coaching at Hopewell in 2007 when he served as the Head Freshman Coach. Coach Nucera became the Varsity Assistant Coach in 2013. He has also served as Head Junior Varsity Coach.  Coach Nucera is a Wellness Teacher and is the Head Softball Coach.

Coach Smith started coaching in the HVSA as a teenager. Since then he has coached at several CVC schools and has been with HVGS since 2021. Coach Smith is also the Head Coach of Winter and Spring Track.

Coach Sheehan began coaching at Hopewell in 2024 as the freshman coach. Before coaching high school soccer, she coached boys' soccer at Timberlane for two seasons. She is a Wellness Teacher and coaches Cheerleading and Track and Field at TMS. Coach Sheehan played soccer at Steinert High School from 2013-2016 and at Rowan University from 2017-2021.
