The Science of Life
Welcome to Biology. This is a full year course for 9th Grade or 10th Grade students that provides the basic fundamentals of molecular biology. Within this course you will be studying life at both the micro and macroscopic levels. Throughout the year we will explore the following concepts: Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems, Matter and Energy in Organisms and Ecosystems, Structure and Function, Inheritance and Variation of Traits, Natural Selection and Evolution. In addition to the concepts above, this class is also designed to teach the following skills: How to ask questions and find answers; How to properly design experiments and conduct research; How to gather and analyze data; How to present findings ; How to think critically and solve problems.

Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities to develop leadership skills.
