Team Prodigy: where learning happens...
Every student is a prodigy at something. On this team, we help students access their interests and their hidden talents.

I'm Hunter Hague and I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts at CBMS since 2023. From a young age I have enjoyed being outdoors: hiking, cross country skiing, sugaring. While I was in college, during the summers, I led backpacking and kayaking trips for a wilderness adventure company. This is where I first came to enjoy working with teenagers and middle schoolers. After graduation, I began teaching in 2014. Since that time, I've worked with every grade from 7th to 12th. I'm now excited to call CBMS home. I'm also a writer and a father as well.

My name is Jordan Lea, and I've been teaching Social Studies on Team Prodigy since 2023. I enjoy teaching this subject to middle schoolers because of its many connections to the world at large that can engage students. I grew up in Vermont, and was lucky to have frequent international travel opportunities for my parents' work. After earning my Bachelor's from Skidmore College in New York, I spent five years living and working in Alaska before moving back to Vermont in 2011. Before completing UVM's Master of Arts in Teaching and becoming a classroom teacher, I worked with youth in a variety of capacities: I taught snowboarding, was a wilderness therapy guide, and worked in mental health, to name a few. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, and traveling with my wife and two sons (ages 5 and 8).
Originally from the Land of Lincoln (Springfield, IL), Angela Selvaggio earned a B.S. in Forestry from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. After several years of teaching children in the outdoors, and working within a variety of school settings, she returned to school to pursue a Master’s degree in Education at Johnson State College. Angela joined the Harwood district in 2006 to work with the Crossroads program, and helped launch The HUB Program, a model of career-focused education. In 2015, she moved to middle school to teach science. Through the science curriculum, Angela's goal is to provide students with opportunities to unleash their inner curiosity with courage and without hesitation, and make relevant “real world” connections. Outside of school, Angela enjoys spending time with her family, keeping up with her 3 kids, walking in the woods, and playing in rivers.

Welcome students and families to Prodigy Math! I am Mrs. Wheaton and this is my third year on team Prodigy. I am a passionate teacher who works hard to meet all of my student’s mathematical needs including challenging all students to their next level. I am known to be silly, but serious and I am known for my focus on academics. A little bit about my past, I grew up in Maine until high school where I moved to Vermont and graduated from Harwood Union. After 4 years at UVM, I began my career at Crossett Brook Middle School for 3 years, followed by Roxbury Village School for 2 years, then Northfield Elementary School for 10 years, and now I am happy to be back at CBMS. During that time I completed a Master's program at UVM for a degree in mathematics. I have a wide range of experience teaching mathematics to multiple grade levels that I will bring to team Prodigy. This year I am excited to teach seventh and eighth grade for the third year focusing on mathematics and math enrichment for all the math learners. Outside of being Mrs. Wheaton, I am a wife and mother of two awesome kids that are 2 (Johnny) and 4 (Mia)!
