Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the BPS winter sports program. We truly cannot do it without the support of the community. This is a wonderful opportunity to get out on the slopes and share your love for winter activities with students, helping to foster their love of winter recreation. To volunteer for the winter sports program, you must:
Sign up to volunteer with the winter sports program.
Volunteering will consist of an approximately 2- to 2.5-hour session at the mountain chaperoning students on the slopes. For each day you volunteer, your ticket at Sugarbush will be valid for the rest of the day. This gives you the option to take a few runs after the session you are chaperoning. (No other tickets or vouchers will be offered.) You will need to get your ticket validated each day.
There may also be some behind-the-scenes volunteering opportunities related to scheduling, fundraising, etc. If you're interested in helping in this capacity, please reach out to CHRIS NEVILLE: cneville@huusd.org
To volunteer with students on the slopes, you must be approved by HUUSD as a Level 3 volunteer. This is a multi-step process that involves completing an application for HUUSD and then being fingerprinted by the police/sheriff's department.
This process can take as long as 8-10 weeks, so it is recommended to start the process as soon as possible.
To apply, follow the instructions on HUUSD's Apply to Volunteer page.
If you are unable to pay the fees (to HUUSD and/or for the fingerprinting), please contact us.
