Hello! I so am excited about being a part of Hippo Nation!
My journey as an educator began at Grisham Middle School (Round Rock ISD) and progressed as a tutor for STAAR, long term guest educator, and Language Arts classroom teacher.
With the exception of one year teaching high school English, I have found myself "in the middle". I love this age group and middle school literature is some of my favorite reading material! In addition to being an educator, I have worked at several area public libraries.
My family consists of my husband, two daughters, and a much loved cat named Minnow.
My hobbies include: reading, art journaling, crafting, gardening, walking, and playing Pokémon Go.
Mission: The mission of Hutto ISD libraries is for each campus library to be an integral part of the school and its community by:
collaborating with staff to create authentic learning for students,
providing quality resources and instruction to students and staff,
assuring that students have equitable access to technology and literature,
encouraging effective use and evaluation of ideas, and
promoting lifelong reading and learning for both pleasure and information.
