Hello! I so am excited about being a part of Hippo Nation!

My journey as an educator began at Grisham Middle School (Round Rock ISD) and progressed as a tutor for STAAR, long term guest educator, and classroom teacher. With the exception of one year teaching high school English, I have found myself "in the middle". I love this age group and middle school literature is some of my favorite reading material! In addition to being an educator, I have worked at several area public libraries. 

My family consists of my husband, two daughters, and a much loved cat named Minnow. 

My hobbies include: reading, journaling, crafting, gardening, walking, and playing Pokémon Go.
