TEACHER BIOLOGY

• My name is Jeffery Bates, and I am proud to be your teacher and coach at Hutto High School!!  I am originally from Houston, Texas.  I received a B.S. in Geography/Environmental Science from Southwest Texas State, and my Masters in Education from Concordia University.  I am certified to teach Biology, 7th-12th grade and Physical Education.  I started my career in education at Brentwood Christian as a coach then I spent five years at Walsh Middle School.  This will be my 7th year in education, my second year teaching high school.  

I have a true passion for passing along information to help any student become a confident student!!  I strive to create a community of leaders that nurture respect and demonstrate  discipline. 

I have been married for 15 years and have two children, a 12 year old daughter and a 10 year old son.  I enjoy my time with my family, including my extended family.  You will definitely find me playing any sport, bass fishing and/or listening to all kinds of music when my schedule allows!
