I’m Jason Halliburton, Hutto’s Head Strength Coach and I’m entering my 12th year with Hutto ISD and 18th year as a strength coach.
Drawing from his years of successful coaching experience, Coach Halliburton heads a strength program based upon proven sports science that will beyond reproach – not only within district but within the state of Texas.
Named the inaugural Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Hutto High School, Coach Halliburton is entering his 12th year with Hutto ISD, his 18th year as a strength coach bringing a wealth of experience and success that the Hutto student-athletes will immensely benefit from.
Coach Halliburton has experience working with athletes with a wide array of abilities ranging from 8 year old to Olympic Athletes. Prior to arriving at Hutto, Coach Halliburton had coaching stints at the collegiate and high school level. As a Graduate Assistant Strength Coach for Dan Eason at Stephen F Austin State and under Master Strength Coach Rod Cole at Tarleton State, Coach Halliburton designed and implemented strength programs for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track, Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Football. At the high school level Coach Halliburton has been a strength coach along with coaching football, track and powerlifting in Texas and California.

Helped end a playoff drought by making 3 consecutive football playoffs appearance at Yucaipa HS, California; 2007, 2008, 2009
o Developed 3 All-Conference Safeties
Revitalized a Track program from league’s worst to league’s best
o Lead the Thunderbird Sprinters to three consecutive CIF regional appearances ending a 14 season drought for the Sprint program.
o Set multiple school records in the 100m, 200m, 400m relay along with All-Conference Honors.
Developed a speed and strength program that earned Halliburton a spot on the 2008 U.S. Men’s Bobsled Team.
Coach Halliburton, a graduate of West Liberty State (WV) with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice in 2001, earned his teaching credential from Stephen F Austin in 2005 and earned his Master’s in Kinesiology from Tarleton State in 2012.
Coach Halliburton is recognized through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Registered Strength Conditioning Coach (RSCC), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW) and a Level 1 USA Track & Field Coach.
