The Strength and Conditioning Department at Hutto High School would like to invite you and your staff to attend the 10th Annual Hutto Sports Performance Clinic Friday, January 30, 2026.
This clinic is for all coaches of any sport, from Middle School, High School to College coaches to provide and give you a solid resource to share and exchange information for all of your program design, strength, speed, agility and Olympic lifting needs in the ever-changing field of athletic performance.

Javier Salas serves Baylor Athletics as an Athletics Performance coach, working primarily with the soccer program and assisting with softball.
Salas joined the Athletics Performance staff in the Fall of 2023 as a Fellow, assisting with acrobatics & tumbling, baseball, soccer, equestrian, track & field and tennis programs until July 2024 when he was promoted to his current role.
Salas came to Baylor from Fairmont State University where he served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach from August 2021 to June 2023. He worked with all 17 of their sports including overseeing all aspect of strength and conditioning for women’s soccer, cross country, tennis, and swimming.
Prior to Fairmont State University, he was a strength and conditioning intern for Arizona Christian University, working with all 22 of their sports from September 2020 to June of 2021.
Salas also worked as an assistant track and field coach for Barry Goldwater High School where he oversaw programming for hurdles and distance events including implementing strength training for the entire team from February 2019 to May 2021.
The Phoenix, Ariz., native graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2020 where he earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. He earned a Master of Education degree in Exercise Science from Fairmont State University in 2023.
Salas holds certifications through the CSCCa (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS), USATF (USATF Level-1), and USAW (USAW Level-1).
Coach Castleberry has 21 years of experience in High School Athletics. He earned his Bachelors in Exercise & Sports Science from Texas State University in San Marcos, and a Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University. Prior to being a strength coach, he has previous experience coaching football, basketball, baseball, and softball.
Prior to Serving as the S&C Coach at Southlake Carroll, he was at Northwest High School for 11 years, and at Castleberry High School (weird I know) for 7 years.
I am a Magnolia, TX native and made my way to Central Texas in 2007 to attend UMHB. While at UMHB, I had the opportunity to play, be a student coach and serve as a graduate assistant for Coach Pete Fredenburg.
In the summer of 2013, I was a sports performance intern at Stanford University. After earning my Master's degree in Exercise Science, I took my first high school teaching/coaching with China Spring. During my 10 years at China Spring, we have earned two state championship titles in football, 1 state baseball championship, and numerous athletes have competed at the state level in track, powerlifting, and tennis.
I've been the out-of-season coordinator the past 6 seasons for the boys athletic programs. The past 4 years I have served as the Speed & Strength Coordinator for the girls & boys athletic programs.
“Coach Kack,” has been coaching in the high school and private fields since 2002. He has been coaching specifically as the campus strength coordinator, or offseason coordinator since his placement at Aldine HS in 2006. He was fortunate enough to work under Coach Tom Allen from 2006 through 2012 as the district strength coordinator for Sinton ISD, where he made the transition to not only coaching athletes, but also contributing to coaching education the growth of the strength community in the state of Texas as a speaker and host for strength clinics.
He participated as adjunct summer strength staff at UT under Coach Donnie Maib, and as a strength assistant at UH, helping with intern education under Brian Odom, Antwan Floyd, and Kelly Long. Coach Kack has been a board member, as well as serving his time as the President of the Greater Houston Strength Coaches Association, as well as being a runner up for the NHSSCA Region 2 Director.
In 2020, Coach Kack made the transition to full-time head strength coach for Cleveland ISD under Coach Jason Fiacco. From 2022-2025, he served a 3-year stint as Co-Strength Coordinator at Cypress Woods High School, where he and Coach John Mitchell worked together in order to serve all campus and feeder junior high sports programs.
Coach Kack is currently working under Coach Nick Codutti as the first official Strength Coordinator and SAC director for Klein High School, where he develops and implements strength programs for all varsity and sub varsity teams on campus, as well as collaborating with other strength coaches in the district in order to advise the junior high strength curriculums.
