Franchesca Mejia joined the Farley Fam in the fall of 2021 where she will reside as the FMS Orchestra director. Prior to that she was the director of orchestral activities in Pflugerville ISD, a position she's held since 2012. 

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Ms. Mejia went to the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University where she completed a dual Bachelors degree in both Music Performance (Double Bass) and Music Education. After moving to Central Texas in 2012, she earned a Masters Degree in Music Education at the University of North Texas. 

Ms. Mejia has two quirky cats named Maddie and LaRue. She loves camping, hiking, and playing music with her partner who teaches music in the Austin area.
