All Region/Solo Contest

Solo Competitive Opportunities

The choir program will have two opportunities for solo competitions- All Region in the Fall and Solo Contest in the Spring. Neither is required, but HIGHLY encouraged

All Region Choir

The All-Region choir is a combined choir made up of the best singers in Region 26 (NE Austin). It is a one day clinic and concert in November where students work with highly talented directors and perform with students from other districts. Students must audition the week before, blindly performing for a panel of judges. The audition music must be learned on their own, or in sectionals.

Solo Contest

Students have the opportunity to perform a solo learned in class privately for a single judge, and receive a rating and medal based on their performance. 6th Grade Treble Choir members are asked to either perform at Solo Contest, perform for their class, or privately for the teacher.

Students who participate in either competition are celebrated throughout the school, earning praise from administration, and are celebrated on choir websites and social media pages.
