Hello! My name is Mrs. Simmons and I am so excited to be joining the FMS family! This is my fourth year in education and my first year at the Middle School level. During 2021-2023 I was the Assistant Director at Hendrickson High School and 2023-2024 I was the Head Director at McNeil High School. 

A little about me- I grew up in Houston and moved to Austin in 2013. I graduated from Westwood High School and was a member of the SunDancers. I then attended Kilgore College where I was a Rangerette for two years and had the honor of serving as Right End Lieutenant. After Kilgore, I completed my education at Stephen F Austin State University where I was also on the SFA Dance Team and served as Captain my senior year. I have been dancing since the age of 3 and have never looked back!! 

I married my amazing husband Haden in Dec. 2020 and we have two fur babies we absouletly love, SnowBelle and Roxy! 

When I am not teaching, you can find me hanging out with family/friends, going on adventures with our pups, eating good food, watching my favorite movies (I have a never ending list) or enjoying a nice coffee shop! 

I can't wait to get the year started and make lasting relationships with my wonderful students! :) GO HIPPOS!!
