I am the father of three students in the Hutchinson Public School district. They are in 8th, 10th, and 12th grade this year. My wife of 22 years is an 6th Grade teacher in the district. We are proud to be teaching in our home town.
I am a proud 1998 graduate of Hutchinson High School. After graduation I attended Hutchinson Community College for a year before transferring to Emporia State University. In 2002 I graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. I have two Master of Science degrees (2009 Emporia State University) Instructional Design and Technology and (2016 Baker University) School Administration. Upon graduation in 2002 I began my teaching career in Goddard. In 2018 I moved back to Hutchinson be an Assistant Principal at McCandless and then in 2019 back to the classroom at Allen STEM Magnet School to teach Math and Science. Now I teach Math and Ancient Civilization.
When I am not teaching you can find me at home completing yard projects, woodworking, or remodeling the house. My son is involved in boy scouts, so I spend a lot of time working and camping with him and other scouts. I enjoying cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs.
